White convolving trumpets
overcoming hedge and tree.
Shouting in bright chorus,
A band of infinity.
Interlacing
Strident spires of pink.
Adding depth
To the symphony.
Loud drum clash of yellow
Breaks up
Their
Pomposity.
A real little gem of a poem, cleverly conceived - an d thanks for nudging out into the daylight my memories of Morecombe!
ReplyDeleteDave ...thankyou for the kind comment...and so glad that you had good memories of Morecambe!
ReplyDeleteI did think that I might remove the poem as I wasn't too sure of it...you know how sometimes you lose courage over things!
