...these fine ladies came out of the kiln this morning and into the sun ...

...all-singing...

...all-dancing...

...blue-booted...

...what more could we ask of them!!

...a swing to the left.... 

...curtsey to the right...

...and altogether now with a good ending!!!

Pelicans...

...a new commission has brought these fellows into being....

...wearing boots and ready for action...

...they will soon leave so I'm making sure that I have a memory of them...

...did you hear about the man who walked the beach at west end Morecambe and found some whale vomit?

They call it "Ambergris"...and the perfumers of Paris use in in their wares!!

Well we walked the same beach this week, our local beach......I have to say, not knowing at that point about the "Ambergris" and found this!!

The "Ambergris"...is said to be worth up to £100.000 ....

...what the!!!

This driftwood is to become the potter's next conceptual piece...with figures all along it...

...will let you see it when it's finished.

Fresh from the kiln and singing their little hearts out!

Can't keep the potter out of the studio!!

New ceramics...hares

For quite a while now, galleries have been asking the potter to produce hares.

So they are just starting to arrive hot out of the kiln in the last few days..

Well hot is good... as we had a bit of a disaster just the week before christmas when a foreign substance...

...pheasant blood...!

dripped into the electronics and that was the end of that until the part was sent back to Germany...

...they of the" forsprung durch technik" infamy....

anyway, all better now..thankyou Germany!

I have been given the prototype..

and I love him!

Hot from the kiln!

These sculptures are just out of the kiln this morning. Here they are still  hot in the studio.

 As soon as they were cool enough we got them photographed and on to f.b.. I put them into flickr as well and added to the various groups.
They are all destined for distant climes! Well that is Kent and Suffolk. The Suffolk galleries are,
The Snape Maltings...which I always think is very apt for Alan!...
The Buckenham Gallery in Southwold, favourite place in England....
And The Harbour Gallery in Whitstable, Kent. This is a fairly new place for us to exhibit. If you live nearby, why not have a look at these in person.

The back drop is also the work of an artist. I got it from the Tate Liverpool a few years ago. It's by a South American artist, but I have lost track of his name. He gave away freebies of the prints of his original photographs and I took a couple. If anyone out there can recognize his work, perhaps you might let me know who you think it is.
