Birthdays and other things...

 Today these two tree climbers are 19 years old!

Izzy and Esther.

Where did that time go?

Oh wait...it went with fun and meals together with the family...

...it went at High School and now work and university..

...it went with laughter and tears...

It was great!!

...always cake here at The Potters House..

A chocolate cake was baked and on behalf of both...Izzy blew out the candles!

Their mum and dad isolating at the moment missed the traditional blowing of the light!

...celebrating A level results this year...

...and here are some flowers from the garden....

..in the summer when things were easier all round!!

Poem for Thursday...dVerse ...mix and match

I'm taking as my prompt...

...Beautiful Solitude ...I don't want to miss the second birthday celebration of dVerse...so I spent a few hours down the field in my quiet place taking in the "soul-touchers" around me.

I think that this needs quite a bit of rewriting...but here are the bare bones of my contribution for the party....thankyou Tony Maude for the thoughts!!

Swing thoughts

The evening sky

Creams

Down on the horizon line

And an eastern breeze

Chants in the labyrinth grasses

Young swallows

Lower their standards

And scream down the air

For late…late insects

Give me your virgin fly past

And while my soul cries stay

Stay

And fill the gap

Winter is coming and

I may live in this town

But I don’t belong here.

What a Week!!

 This has been a full on week of happenings here at the Potters House Penketh.

A birthday brunch.....for the potter...

Mothering Sunday...at The Cake International Show.....this cake won a commendation...she based it on a workshop video of the daughter's ...Neviepiecakes...lovely!

Hospital...the potter is through the ordeal and can hardly believe that it's over!!....Hooray.

And though we are only at Friday....Red Nose Day here in the U.K....

...and those penguins know what the deal is...as an Irish Bard once said...
"Give us your ....... money"!

Good end to the week I say.

Party for Stan the Potter.

Stan's Birthday do!

We all trooped up to the Oaks Community Cafe and by all I mean all 18 of us......

...all the workers there are volunteers...well almost all...

So they spread three tables for us with bread and butter....soups and paninis....cheese and onion pie and baked potatoes!!

We brought along some wine and two yummy chocolate cakes with candles...

...of course.

They needed 85 candles!...

I gave up after 8...

This Tuesday morning group are so close and may I say

..." such fun"...

...if that's not taking the words out of Miranda's mother's mouth!!!

...turned out it was Margaret's birthday  as well... 

and then everyone came clean...

...and Margaret...celebrate 52 years together....

...WHAT?!!!

...never...

...lots of craic....

...and much puffing of flames...!

...wine gone ...coffee gone ...cake nearly gone...might take this bit home!

...just call us party people!!
