I'm looking forward to getting Merlin Sheldrake's book on the wonder of the world of fungi...
"Entangled Life"
Every autumn I search the ground under the birch grove for the first of the fly agaric fungi.

I spotted this one hidden in the edge of the labyrinth...then noticed that some creature had nibbled the edges..and was no doubt giggling somewhere in the grass!
( I hear they are magic!)
..who can have done it?...
Happy slugs at The Potters House Penketh!
Sometimes they appear with no spots..are they a different fungi?...I don't know.
I hoping to know a lot more when I've read his book.
Have a great day..October is almost upon us.
We enter the depth of atumn and all that it brings.
Leaf fall
A good year for the mast I hear.
