The Willow Ball

I hope I'm not too late Darlings?.....
Traffic was a..ppalling! the sooner they put in that underground to Heathrow the better.
I was waiting for Stevie McQ's call...I would wait for ever for the man...well you know that.
Any way, it's a good job that I wore the lounging outfit as he arrived on his blessed the machine.....oh how glamorous! ...if a "lettle" bitsy chilly.
Now I might need to sort out a bit of a dance card...he doesn't like the floor...so I'm hoping that Rudi N. is here and I've also heard that Aristide B. is hoping to get away...that is if Jane A. doesn't throw one of her hissy fits!
I can't tell you how excited I am... a whole year planning an outfit, turning down other invites...hope they're not too put out.... and then it's all over so fast...got to make the best of this delicious time together.

  1. A well "rounded" outfit, even the disco willow made it in there. Dietrich has nothing on you.

  10. Love your lounging outfit! You need to keep warm on the back of a bike.
Wedged between four Beatles on the way to the ball, I was kept very warm, or was it flushed! Did you see John attempt to replace your cigarette with a more interesting one, in that that wonderful holder?
Seeing you later in the night I wondered if he had in fact, succeeded.
Russel, they tell me, had a serious case of the munchies all night. Nigella kept adding nasturtium garnishes to the sandwiches. Russel even ate those. Wonderful night, yes?

  12. You looked wonderful dwarling. Didn't we all have a great time. I must remember to send some hate-mail to Brad Pitt; he kept trying to look up my kilt, the wierdo!

  13. Bug...thankyou for your generousity re. the Colonel...so kind...let's hope that someone hasn't picked up the you-know-what ..I'd much rather have had it in your safe hands.

    Yoli...can I say with honesty...ditto darling.

Pam...was there anything noticable later on? I thought I was reasonable? We've got to stop Nigella from all this floweriness.... if that's what they call it.

Kath G.....my head was made for hats...I think?

Cro...sory about that distraction...one must put up with such things at times.

  14. So lovely to meet you at the ball, darlin'. And wasn't your outfit so lovingly sporting? Was that velvet, my dear? Simply scrummy. I do hope Steve McQ showed up for you. I never caught a glimpse of him, myself, but knew he had those baby blues to die for. You looked wonderfully charming on the dance floor with all your other men, regardless. Toodles

  15. catfish...glad to see that you made it home!the problem with men and their bikes is they spend more time taking the thing apart...than attending to a girl's needs. I won't be taken in next time by "baby blue eyes".
